As many of you already know, our community is losing an amazing woman and family. Jeana has given so much to our valley and we will miss her dearly. We at Dance Works Studio believe it is in the best interest of the kids and community that the studio continues on. By luck of the draw (or coin flip – I should say) I feel extremely blessed to be the new director of Dance Works Studio! I want you to know Mike and I are very excited and committed to keeping Dance Works Studio all that it has been for all of us for many years. I am confident that we will have many more years of incredible dancing! We are excited to get started into the new year. Dance Works Studio will continue to strive to instill a love of dance and performance in your children. We will offer the same great classes with our same great teachers. We have a lot of great things planned for the new year. There are a few changes that we will be making compared to years past.
Changes are as follows:
1. The monthly tuition will be raised to $25 a month. It is due by the 10th of each month. If it is not paid by this day, a late charge fee of $15 will be added to your next monthly bill. If it is not paid by the beginning of the next month, unfortunately your child will be unable to participate in class.
2. There will be a 10% discount to anyone who pays the entire year's tuition in advance. Multiple class and family discounts are also available.
3. A costume fee is due before dance begins. This will be $35 for girls and $15 for boys per class. This money will go to the initial cost of your costume(s). The reason for doing this is because you do not have to pay tuition for the month of September, and it will prevent the hassle of trying to collect all the money at once later on. We cannot order your child a costume if we do not have the money in hand. If you pay after we have ordered, you will be responsible to pay the extra shipping costs. So please pay on time. You will have the month of October to pay the remaining balance whatever it may be for your costume(s). We understand that this sounds firm, but it is because of problems in the past that we have to change our policy. But we are willing to work with you, so feel free to talk with me. Everyone must pay this fee with the following exceptions, anyone who was in a Performance or Jr. Performance class last year will not have to pay the fee. We will be keeping the same costumes from last year.
4. We will be starting classes on Sept. 27th. This is a week later than previous years. Because I am having a baby this year the first of September (I know bad timing, but we will be fine. We have awesome teachers that will be great help.), this year we will be starting a little later. But only for this year. Our end of the year recital is scheduled for Apr. 28,29, & 30. We will also be doing the Christmas recital, which is scheduled for the 27th of December, and performing at all the basketball games.
5. We will be sending out monthly statements and newsletters. Plus updating the website monthly. Communication is very important. We never want you to feel like you don't know what is going on. If you prefer to not receive correspondence by e-mail, please let me know on your registration form so we can make sure you receive paper billing and newsletters.
Once again we are so excited to get started and can't wait to see all of your smiling faces!
